This wonderful iPad Stand is constructed of maple logs taken from a beaver den on Lake Muskellunge, Theresa, New York.
Twenty five or more years ago my business partner, Tom, was fishing on Lake Muskellunge and he came across a large beaver den and just couldn't resist! He had to have a few limbs that were downed by the beaver and having that naturally gnawed look. After hauling it around for 25 years he finally decided it was time to build a unique iPad stand from a few limbs.
The uprights appear to be maple with the bark stripped off by the beavers. The base is made of pine wood that has been distressed then finished with amber shellac to protect it. The slots that fit the iPad are lined with suede leather to provide a soft landing when the iPad is inserted and removed.
The underside has a lazy suzan that allows the stand to rotate, giving both you and your customer access to the touch screen. The stand can be permanently mounted to your counter top or used in a portable fashion.
This unique log stand fits in well with many eclectic style shops from rural road side produce stands to country taverns.
